You can fully understand the gastronomy, mentality and potential of this area only by grasping the roots from which everything originated. The best way to do that is to visit the three historically most important places in this region – Salona, Trogir and Split. We start by fleeing from the city centre to the place where it all began – Salona, the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia. It is the largest archaeological park in Croatia. One of the people most deserving for discovering the history of Salona, as well as other early Croatian and Christian history is a priest and archaeologist Don Frane Bulić, whose grave is located in Salona. After Salona, we go to Trogir – also known as the open museum city, full of interesting significant sights and authentic experience. We end this trip in Split, a great combination of history, beauty and entertainment opportunities. What else to say except that even the emperor Diocletian himself chose Split to be his mansion!
