Krka national park
Krka National Park is a spacious, largely unchanged region of exceptional and multifaceted natural value, and includes one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems. It is intended for scientific, cultural, educational, recreational, and touristic activities such as visiting and sightseeing. It was proclaimed a national park in 1985 and is the seventh national park in Croatia.
The National Park is located entirely within the territory of Šibenik-Knin County and encompasses an area of 109 km2 along the Krka River: two kilometres downriver from Knin to Skradin and the lower part of the Čikola River. From the flooded part of the mouth, its length is 72.5 kilometres, making Krka the 22nd longest river in Croatia, with its beautiful and untouched nature through which one passes in a breath of magic.
Jurlinovi dvori
The feeling after visiting these traditional walls, paradise peace and beautiful views gives a lifelong moment of remembrance.
Don Stipe Perkov, an enthusiastic priest who has restored the traditional stone settlement, put in these walls a breath of life; and into them, a long, great story is carved. The tiny village has been in his family for many generations and he is now the sole heir. The 300 years old stone houses have many stories to tell. They leave a trace we can truly see and feel at the same time – our legacy.
Some parts of sightseeing: – Sacral collection – exhibits spanning 2000 years – Fire house (kitchen) – Distillation Room – Cellar – Bedroom with traditional marks – A library that is home to 2.000 books, many of which exceptionally rare
